Villa Kedidi is the perfect luxury Bali villa for families or a group of close friends. This three bedroom residence is located just a short stroll from the shores of Canggu beach on Bali’s south west coast. With a 10-meter private swimming pool, the villa oozes character, tradition, charm and luxurious 5-star living. And if you plan on visiting Bali with a larger group, then renting the neighboring four-bedroom Villa Kakatua would ensure you’re all close together, providing a seven-bed option.
Fully equipped with children’s facilities and cared for by warm and friendly staff, you will instantly become attached to Kedidi, with its uncomplicated and calm surroundings, offering an insight into local life.
Named after the sand piper that frequents the nearby shores, Villa Kedidi is actually only 100-meters from the beach. This Bali villa rental is set within a private walled garden just adjacent to the neighboring Villa Kakatua. The property has been created in a traditional Balinese style. Solid coconut beams support high serap wood ceilings that help those tropical breezes cool an open-sided living area. An enticing swimming pool with its natural green stone sits in the center of the residence, providing a central focus to the property.
Bedrooms feature beautifully carved wooden beds and semi-open garden bathrooms. A unique ambience is enhanced by exquisite artifacts that are dotted throughout the building with intricate carved limestone murals depicting stories of times gone by. Perfect for families with children, Villa Kedidi is fully equipped with high chairs and baby cots, pool fencing and pool toys. Staff are fully trained to assist with children, allowing you to relax, at least for a while, knowing that they are complete safe and secure.
Should you wish to venture out, Canggu beach offers several restaurants and cafes, with a superb BBQ of freshly grilled fish and other meats and vegetables provided by Echo Beach. From here you’ll see surfers catching some fairly large waves just as the sun sets towards the east of the island. A car and driver can be hired for an additional fee.
This luxury Bali villa is accessed by a private path, bordered on both sides by tropical plants and limestone carvings. You’ll enter via traditional Balinese wooden doors. Bedrooms and living areas are built neatly around the private pool, reflecting a typical architectural trait of Bali villa layouts.
All three-bedroom suites are fully air-conditioned and come with polished, cream terrazzo floors, ceiling fans, mosquito netting and antique batik throws. Javanese antiques and traditional paintings and portraits combine with iPod docking, TV’s and DVD’s to provide the perfect blend of luxurious Balinese holiday living. Garden bathrooms, with bluestone pebbles and open-air showers, inject a tropical touch. A master suite and twin bedrooms are situated in separate pavilions at opposite ends of the pool with sliding glass doors opening onto each room’s veranda. A daybed is perfectly placed here for reading a good book or taking a well-earned afternoon nap. The third bedroom is accessed from the living area via a large wooden door or from the sliding doors that open onto the patio. The bathroom is just adjacent.
The open-sided living and dining area, with stunning views out towards the pool and garden, forms the hub of this luxury Bali villa. High ceilings evoke authentic Balinese living whilst blue and white Chinese vases add a splash of colour against a green marble side table. Two wicker sofas with soft batik cushions provide the perfect spot to put your feet up and enjoy a movie under the watchful eye of a carved Buddha. And a glass-topped table seats six guests. Recently renovated in 2011, a modern kitchen provides stainless steel appliances as well as children’s high chairs, cutlery, etc.
The 10-metre pool with its green-stone and poolside balé and sun loungers add the finishing touches to what is a truly spectacular holiday home, whilst lush green foliage and exotic plants create a cool tropical oasis.
