Villa Description

Majapahit Maya Villas are located on the eastern side of the island at Pabean Beach. It’s accessible via the Klungkung bypass, or the sunrise road as it’s more commonly known, which stretches east. With lush green rice fields, tobacco plantations, papaya, banana and coconut groves surrounding the location, you’ll be spoilt for spectacular scenery. There’s also stunning views of the beaches of Sanur and Nusa Dua and then further a-field, the islands of Lembongan, Ceningan and Penida. And not forgetting the mysterious mountains of East Bali.

Pabean was once a small port, by which traders would bring their products. At low tide you’ll see the remains of the old harbor. Out to sea, stronger currents make it a popular spot for surfers. The Majapahit is an exclusive enclave of three luxurious villa residencies. They’ve been designed by the Italian architect, MrGuiseppeVerdacci, to reflect ancient Javanese features of the Majapahit Empire. The four-bedroom Villa Maya has the beach view, whilst the other three-bedroom villas, Raj and Nataraja are set back slightly. Each has its own beach access with fabulous views.

Developed and constructed in 2005, the villas blend a modern style of architecture with more traditional features of Indonesia. High ceilings, spacious living areas, Jacuzzis, swimming pools, traditional bales and walled gardens will certainly provide the 5-star ambience you would imagine. The complex is ideal for larger gatherings, weddings or other important celebrations. And it’s much more than just a beachfront complex. A professionally trained team of discreet staff will cater to your every need.

Villa Maya
Maya is a three-bedroom villa with an additional timber-framed joglo, imported from Java. The main building has a master bedroom upstairs with two ground floor guest bedrooms, as well as living and dining rooms that face a 14-meter swimming pool. A massage pavilion is set within the gardens across from the bale, which also features a furnished timber deck overlooking the ocean.
Inside, tribal objects and artifacts are arranged together with more modern furnishings. And quality linens are placed upon the king size beds. Gourmet cuisine can be prepared if necessary by the villa’s chef whilst butlers provide first class service.

The joglo is accessible via a wooden sliding door in the villa’s garden wall. It’s a beautiful, ornately carved, antique timber house, imported from Java and reconstructed. The joglo has its own 8 x 2.6 meter pool centered within a large manicured lawn. Four couches and bean bags are shaded by a canvas canopy. And beyond this decking area, steps lead down to the beach.

Master Suite: The master suite occupies the whole of the upper floor. It has a king size bed, desk, chair, large TV, DVD and CD player. Glass doors open onto a timber balcony which is furnished with a sofa. An en-suite bathroom, with corner bathtub, shower and twin sinks has two separate dressing and washing areas.

Guest Bedrooms: Two guest bedrooms are located downstairs in the main building. Both have AC, timber flooring, king size beds and desk and chair. You’ll have a large TV, DVD player and CD. Glass doors also open onto a terrace, furnished with two sun loungers. Each semi open-air bathroom features tripled tiered running water and hidden lighting. Bathrooms are crafted in dark grey terrazzo and fitted with twin wash basins and rain showers.

Indoor Living Area
Living and dining areas border the swimming pool and feature timber flooring. Folding glass doors front and back can be opened to allow cool sea breezes to enter. A double sunken Jacuzzi extends into the living space which then overflows into the pool.

A flat screen TV and music system, with wall speakers provides the entertainment. Wifi comes as standard. The living room features an L-shaped sofa, tables, a suede chair and an antique coffee table. One of the highlights is the semi-spiral floating staircase which has been crafted in wood and supported by eight columns.

Outdoor living
The property’s high wall allows complete privacy. An open-sided massage pavilion is located in one corner which has been furnished with white drapes, a massage bed, outdoor shower and four sun loungers and umbrellas. The far end of the garden opens out to the beach and a stunning view of the ocean. A timber decking area is accessed by a small bridge over the fish pond. And this spot offers yet another place to relax and enjoy a cocktail or two.
